ICT for Health
ICTs can improve the effectiveness of health centres by streamlining and professionalising their services. ICTs can provide real-time access to medical research. They make it possible to gather quantitative health and population related data and link it to national and international organisations addressing critical health issues.
Integrating ICT into health centres can improve the quality of health services provided, especially if patient records are shared at a national and regional level in areas prone to internal migrations and displacement due to trade, conflicts or natural disaster. ICTs can therefore allow doctors and nurses to have accurate past and present information on people they are treating creating huge benefits in health care both within and across communities.
