Chief Executive Dr. Gillian Marcelle,  is an international development specialist with twenty years experience gained in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. She is passionate about harnessing the potential of technologies for human development.

Gillian has had a diverse professional career in which she has led program teams in international organisations, as well as provided strategic advisory services as a self-employed consultant. Her clients have included World Bank/IFC, European Union/ACP Centre for Development of Enterprise, CARICOM, UN-DESA, UNCTAD, UNDP, UNIFEM, UN-ECA, ITU, UNU-INTECH, the Republic of Angola and the City of Johannesburg. Her finance background includes equity and capital markets experience with JP Morgan Chase, mergers and acquisitions with BT plc and development finance with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group.

In addition to these professional responsibilities, she has been active in public service, leading development NGOs and civic networks, with particular success in resource mobilisation, partnership, advocacy and capacity development.  She has served on the Board of the UN ICT Task Force, and as a member of the International Advisory Panel on ICT4Development, as well as founding global advocacy networks such as the WSIS Gender Caucus. 

She remains active in academic and policy networks that are focused on science and technology for development issues. She trained as an economist at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and the Kiel Institute of World Economics, Germany, holds an MBA from George Washington University and a PhD from Sussex University (UK).

Corporate Relations Manager Poppy Lyle, has worked in the not-for-profit sector for four years. She is a Londoner who cycles to work every day, and has a keen interest in climate change and related environmental issues.

Project and Business Development Manager Kerryn Krige, studied journalism in South Africa and has reported and travelled through the continent, including Uganda and Kenya. After a year in the UK office Kerryn has returned home for 9 months to head up Digital Links South Africa, which aims to deliver more projects such as the Digital Links Science teaching project in Limpopo.

Logistics Coordinator Chichi Umunna, is an International Relations MA Graduate who has previously worked in a large range of institutions including an academic development institute in Cameroon and more recently, the Parliamentary ICT department for the House of Commons.  Chichi spent time in Cameroon working on project proposals towards Completion Point of the HIPC-Initiative, and is now studying in her free time for an MSc in Development Management with the Open University.

Supply Executive Lucy Jennings, studied Contemporary History and Development Studies at university, with a focus on Kenyan history. She has taken part in several educational projects in Kenya, Ghana and Sri Lanka with Lasallian Developing World Projects. In her free time, she fundraises for a small charity based in Sri Lanka that is helping to rebuild lives after the tsunami.
