Educational Content

In addition to being a tool for teaching people in developing countries to become IT literate, we believe that the computers that we send can have a much wider impact on education, especially in schools that have a shortage of textbooks or laboratory equipment.

Digital Links is working with a number of content providers a range of learning materials that can be used across Africa, especially in subjects such as Maths, Science, and English.

RM: The largest supplier of hardware to the educational market also have a comprehensive range of software titles that are used in UK schools. RM have agreed to allow Digital Links to use these in Africa.

Schoolscience.co.uk: A free website that contains a wealth of Scientific content for UK students aged between 11 and 18. We are working with them to develop an offline CD-based version for African schools.

Pearson Publishing Group: Pearson have provided resources to over 30,000 educational institutions. Using their material, we can provide separate English, Maths, and Science CD’s, each will be customised with the recipient school’s name.

There is a small license fee for each of these resources to cover the cost of distribution. The fee will allow the school to use the learning materials indefinitely.
