£70,000 Raised for New PCs

RDC work closely with Digital Links on the Digital Pipeline initiative (a Microsoft initiative to supply free refurbished computers to the developing world, with all refurbishment costs paid for by the computer donor). RDC have a strong commitment to responsible business practices and have run various initiatives that support their principles (such as a free recycling day for people with computers in their local area). They have worked hard to help their clients incorporate donations into their standard IT disposal agreement, and have already raised £70,000 from clients such as Visa, Nomura Bank and the House of Lords. This money is being used to buy refurbished computers for Digital Links’ projects, and a recycling bounty has also been set aside to ensure the safe disposal of each redistributed PC when it finally reaches the end of its life.
