Digital Links visit E.ON

Digital Links have an ongoing partnership with leading IT asset management company Tier 1, who specialise in both generating large revenue returns from laptops and high-end equipment, and boosting valuable CSR activity for their clients. Almost two years ago Tier 1 decided to partner with Digital Links to enable their clients to donate mid-range equipment straight to Digital Links. This has been a huge success and the company has already enabled the donation of over 10,000 computers.

E.ON, one of Tier 1’s many blue chip clients, has already donated over 200 computers to Digital Links. Jon Inns, Account Manager at Tier 1, decided E.ON should show off to its staff about their socially responsible IT disposal choices. Digital Links CEO David Sogan went along to the presentation to talk about the effect their old computers were having on children in the developing world. David was accompanied by Daniel Kakinda of Schoolnet Uganda, who spoke passionately about the impact of computers donations on education is his country.

As a result of this, E.ON decided to donate not just computers, but funds generated by the sale of some of their old IT equipment will also go to Digital Links to support their projects in Africa.

Digital Links would like to thank Tier 1 and E.ON for their continued support.
