Partners for Knowledge

Digital Links understands that sending PC hardware is not enough. In order to be an effective tool for development, computers must be accompanied by the tools and training that makes the physical infrastructure valuable.

The digital and knowledge divide between developed and developing countries is getting wider and now that most western children facilitate their learning through access to a PC and the Internet, the knowledge divide is also widening. 70% of American children aged 4 have used a computer whilst IT teaching and learning is not yet considered in African pre-schools. Students commonly graduate without having touched a PC let alone having had access to innovative e-learning programs. Digital Links believes that access to computers and electronic learning within schools in developing countries will help students to accelerate their learning and develop the skills necessary to compete and contribute within the global marketplace.

As such, DL works with partners for knowledge to add-value to PC distribution and ensures that recipients get the most out of their access.
